The front and rear wheels are powered by two motors worth 60kW (82hp) and 200Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre petrol runs at 85kW (116hp) and 125Nm. Regenerative braking helps recover lost energy to improve fuel efficiency. It has a fuel economy figure 50km/litre (2l/100km or 117 mpg US). The Concept PX-MiEV can be recharged using a normal domestic power supply system but can also power certain home appliances itself in cases of emergency.

The four-seater measures 4.5m long, 1.8m wide, 1.66m high and has a wheelbase of 2.6m. Much of its exterior looks like the Outlander on which speculation says it is based. The interior is cocochi or cozy in Japanese slang. It features seat upholstery that deactivates allergens and LED lighting for the instrument panel as well as door trims.
